This weekend, fifteen young adults from the parish of St James the Apostle Hoppers Crossing Nth attended a three-day retreat at the Paulist Retreat Centre, Wantirna, for a discernment weekend on Youth Leadership. This weekend’s retreat was a mediation on St Paul’s spirituality and its meaning in our lives today. We were warmly welcomed and hosted by the members of the Foccolare movement who work in partnership with us. By meditating on the story of St Paul’s radical conversion on the road to Damascus, retreatants were led by facilitators Geralyn McCarthy and Fr Jude Pirotta mssp to reflect on how the Pauline spirituality helps them to live and encounter Jesus in their everyday lives.
