Many of you may have been aware of a small booklet, published in 1933, with a eulogy about our founder. This eulogy, delivered a month after De Piro’s death, was prepared and delivered by Mgr Henry Bonnici, who took over the administration of the many orphanages in De Piro’s hands, and was the first superior delegate of our congregation after De Piro. The eulogy was printed in an old version of the Maltese language, in use on the islands at the time. Mr Clemente Zammit kindly re-wrote this eulogy in modern Maltese and has offered it to us for circulation. The next obvious step is to translate it into English, something that will happen in time.
